Bobcats are our only predatory feline. They have a gray to brown coloration with dark stripes and/or spots all over. They have tiny black tufts at the tips of their ears and large retractable claws on their feet, and a short tail. They reach a height of around 60 cm and a weight of 6 to 9 kg. They are crepuscular, with the height of their activity occurring in the morning or evening.
Bobcats primarily hunt Rabbits and Hares as their food source, but it will also hunt insects, birds, and small rodents. Bobcats are largely territorial and usually solitary.
