Know the Areas You Want to Protect

Visit the area as often as you can. Take your camera and keep a journal. Your observations and photographs can provide powerful support for your recommendations. Document management problems with your camera and/or camcorder.

At some point you may need to show that you or whomever wishes to file a lawsuit (or threatens a lawsuit) has an interest in the area and has visited the area. The more often you have visited, the clearer your legal standing will become.
